I know I am not one to talk about the English language like I am an expert because I know I butcher it as much and if not more than everyone else. The other day I received a text message from my friend and as I looked at it I realized that in this computer age we are all killing off the English language. I know that we are all in a hurry and try to fit in as many characters as we can in 140 words or less. So from now on and I don't care if it takes me two or three text messages I am no longer going to abbreviate my messages. So if anyone forgot I put together a brief list below just in case we all forgot.

Anybody that knows me knows that I am a huge Blackhawks fan. I know that the all the facts of this story have not come out in this story so I don't necessarily want to come to a quick judgment on this story. I do know for a sport and team that has been struggling for a long time now this is the last kind of publicity they need right now. Patrick Kane is a huge part of the Blackhawks future but if this story is true and then rather trying to sweep this under the rug and protect their star player they should take disciplinary action against this young man. I know he is only 20 years old and I myself have made many stupid mistakes when I was that age and have had to answer for my actions and did not have anyone there to protect me because I wasn't a star. The organization in my mind should suspend this player for a reasonable amount of time (5 games or more) and fine him if this story comes out to be truthful. I don't know if the players union will allow this but if they can't and even if they can he is 20 years old and they should have someone mentor him and get him anger counseling. Once again I am recommending this if once all the facts come out and this story is true.

I understand that they cut the trees so that don't end up in the wires above. I just wish they could take a little bit more time on it because some of these trees just look plain ridiculous after they get done with them.......

Sinkhole Rant

So I decided to take a walk around my neighborhood yesterday and to my surprise I came across a giant sinkhole in Des Plaines. This was a project that was supposed to be finished in 2 weeks and now its like Day 59. I know this a giant sinkhole but this town can't even fix the potholes in it. If they want to attract new business then maybe they should take care of the few establishments that they have left before they leave town also.
