Lee Street near Rand and River in Des Plaines was closed Monday as workers continued repairing a caved-in portion of sidewalk and sewer lines underneath. A concrete bridge was discovered under the walkway, probably dating back to the turn of the century. See Wednesday's print editions of the Journal for more. (Tom Robb/The Journal)
Does anyone know what is underneath the sidewalks, roads, etc. in Des Plaines? Well I got an idea why don't they just build another condo or empty strip mall instead.
